June 27, Sat to Santa Margherita Ligure

We left our hotel around 7 am in the morning, caught 7:15 bus to Verona, changed to a train to Milan, exchanged another train and arrived Santa Margherita Ligure around 3:00pm. Santa Margherita Ligure: Italian Riviera, is only 15 mins drive away from Portofino, most photogenic fishing ports in the Mediterranean.
In Italy, it is always cheaper to buy bus tickets ahead of time. For ticket from Santa Margherita Ligure to Potofino, if you buy from Tobacco store or machine, it only costs 1 Euro. If you buy on bus, sorry, it is 2 euro.

Portofino is famouse for its crowded private fancy yachts.

Even a public bathroom looked very distinctive.

This might belong to some famous rich people. As Edward said: "Portofino reminds me how important it is to get rich."

As usual, we can not escape gelato!

In the evening, we went back to Santa Margherita Ligure for dinner. After all Portofino is for rich people. We went to a restaurant that was recommended by Rich Steven's book. It only take cash, no credit card. We ordered some steamed mussels which was super super fresh and tender and 鲜! I also ordered grilled fish which suprisely served in whole fish. But the taste was not as impressive as the mussels. Kai has seafood linguine that is almost as good as its mussels. The whole dinner cost around 80 Euro, seems very reasonable.
